Bundle of modern and classic sci-fi toys, included toys from Star Trek, Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet and more! ...
Proving that science fiction and fantasy collectables are as popular ever, even if they don't have a great deal of age to them, a large selection of sci-fi pieces almost quadrupled its top estimate during the recent A F Brock auction. The lot, pictured here, did contain some vintage pieces, in the form of some classic Mego Star Trek figures (Captain Kirk, Mr Spock and a Klingon) but the majority of the other items dated from the 1990s onwards.

These included selection of the popular Thunderbirds talking action figures (The Hood, Scott Tracy, Brains, Virgil Tracy and Alan Tracy) and modern Captain Scarlet toys, along wth a Planet of the Apes Thade character from 2001, Men in Black talking agent Jay and a McFarlane Alien vs Predator Celtic Predator.

Estimated at a rather low £45 to £65, the hammer finally went down on £230. Overall there were 25 toys in the collection, so that's around £10 each. A wise investment in potential future collectables? Only time will tell...
