If you have a need for speed, then check out the superb rally cars in this new series. ...
England’s one and only World Rally Champion, Richard Burns, was born to drive; long before he was old enough to drive on the public roads, he was learning to handle rally cars on private land and at his local motor club.  By the age of 17, Richard started competing in club rallies and two years later, he claimed his first series title in the Peugeot Challenge.  His win propelled him into national competition and by 1993, only five years after his first rally, the young progeny from Reading was on his way to a British Championship title with the support of Subaru and Prodrive, one of the leading partnerships in the sport.

Subaru took Burns to the Asia Pacific series, before the Briton switched teams to Mitsubishi as his evident talent matured, confirmed by his first World Rally win in 1998 on the gruelling Safari Rally.  The win in Africa was a portend of many wins to come at the World Championship level – ten in the space of three short seasons, and that talent was sealed in 2001 as Richard was crowned as England’s first ever World Rally Champion.

The Richard Burns Foundation and Corgi have teamed up to create a series of six highly detailed 1:43 scale quality die-cast collectable models representing the most memorable rally cars in Richard’s illustrious career.  Each model is presented in a display case and comes complete with a collector card listing the story of that particular car.  Every model sold will provide a contribution to the Richard Burns Foundation to help support its continuing charitable work in the 2001 champion’s name.
