Established toy fair organiser Ray Heard has been in touch to let us know about a brand new toy fair that's taking place in Bridgwater on 13th July. Ray is expecting around 200 tables at the event and is hoping it'll continue to grow in the future.

After already organising successful events in the Somerset and Devon area, Ray was looking for something closer to Bristol to serve those collectors who didn't fancy making the trip further south to some of his other events. Luckily a new venue (imaginatively titled The Venue) has recently opened up in Bridgwater and the owners were keen to help Ray establish a new toy fair there.

"We'll have a total mix of collectables on offer at the fair," Ray told us. "Although I'm well established for having plenty of model railway pieces at my established toy fairs, I'm keen to attact more diecast collectors and traders. Thankfully, the Bridgwater event seems to be doing just that and we've had plenty of interest from diecast enthusiasts.

"That's not to say the model railway collectors will be left out though and we'll be having a working layout at the show, plus there'll be an O gauge test track so buyers can try out their purchases on the day. I really this event will be just as successful as my other fairs and it'll go from strength to strength."

The Bridgwater Toy Fair takes place on Sunday, 13th July at The Venue, Junction 24, Marketway, North Petherton, Bridgwater, TA6 6DF. Admission is £2 and the opening times are 10am until 3.30pm. Free car parking is available. For more details contact Ray on 01823 480097.
