News has arrived from Oxford Diecast of many exciting newly announced models that will be in the shops towards the end of the year and the first half of 2015.

There is plenty of new tooling in all the major scales and ranges, starting with the AA motorbike and sidecar combo (pictured), the Austin Tilly and the mobile trailer in N gauge, the popular Austin 1300, Thurston canvas trailer, Diamond T tank transporter, Ford 400E van, Leyland Titan PD2, Thornycroft Nubian, Volvo FH4, Bedford QLD and 2013 Range Rover Luxor in 1/76 scale, and the Austin Healey 100, Datsun 240Z and Daimler SP250 in 1/43. In the 1/72 aviation range, the soon-to-arrive De Havilland DH88 Comet racer will be joined by its famous red sister, G-ACSS, a third Avro Anson will join the range in No.9 Flying Training Squadron colours, further additions to the series of Tiger Moths, Puss Moths and Sea Hornets are confirmed, and another Dragon Rapide has been announced too, this time in the colours of an RAF Dominie (pictured below), as now operated by Classic Air Force (of which yours truly is a member!). So plenty to keep me and my fellow De Havilland enthusiasts happy.

There is plenty more on the list but I can’t leave you without mentioning a very important new set commemorating the Battle of Britain 75th anniversary, featuring three BoB heroes, all in 1/72 scale of course; a Supermarine Spitfire MkI, a Hawker Hurricane MkI and a Gloster Gladiator MkII (see photo below). I’ve already placed my order with my supplier and don’t delay with yours as these are sure to fly off the shelves!
We’ll be featuring the full list in much more detail in the January issue of Diecast Collector, on sale on 1st December.
