Daily Diecast - August Round-up

We hope you've enjoyed the launch of our new Daily Diecast updates. Over the last month we've covered everything from powerboats to planes and even the odd tractor. What's more, as part of this new web feature, we've launched the Daily Diecast videos, which give you a good look at the model from pretty much every angle possible. A superb paint finish defines Corgi’s Scania cab, which displays well-printed operator logos and artwork for Lanarkshire’s Stuart Nicol Transport. The rear coiled airlines are superbly done, and the Saltire/Scania artwork is pleasing.

Vintage fire appliances are always interesting, and so it is with Corgi’s wonderful release. In Silverside Derbyshire livery, the vehicle has a superb wheeled ladder unit (with turning wheels), and well-moulded hose reels on the roof.

Oxford Diecast - Bedford WLG Heavy Unit

A very good pump unit and hoses elevates this National Fire Service vehicle in collecting terms. The side storage sections are well defined, and the ladder is finely moulded. White hoses also lend pleasing contrast.

Ixo - Citroën Visa Chrono

Retro rally cool comes to the fore with Ixo’s No 28 Chrono, which has a superb paint finish and splendid interior detailing, such as quality seatbelts and a strapped-down spare wheel. The real car raced in the 1983 Rally Monte Carlo.

Oxford Diecast - Land Rover 88” Hard Top

With its colourful Bertram Mills Circus livery, Oxford’s Land Rover is worthy of inspection by Land Rover fans. Its printing is good, as is the grille detail.
