1,200 lots including Hornby, Corgi, Airfix, Revell and more ...

Aston's Toy Auctons in Dudley is preparing for its biggest-ever sale tomorrow (Saturday, 8th December) with 1,200 lots, including items from Bachmann, Hornby, Corgi, Spot-On, Airfix and more! One of the most anticipiated items in this important auction is a live steam 1½-inch scale Allchin traction engine 'Royal Chester', estimated at £2,500-3,200. The model is of very good build quality with a wealth of detail and comes with the build drawings.

Director and auctioneer Chris Aston is delighted with the impressive sale and told us: "If you had said to me eight years ago when we started the auction that we would be selling 1,200 lots, I don't think I would have believed you! I used to do everything from the cataloguing to the photographing myselfbut there's no way I could all that now."

In fact, Aston's is now displaying so many items that it has had to open up a new showroom. "We had a room upstairs that just used to be an office but we've turned that into another showroom," explained Chris. "Last month we had a few items in there but for this sale it's absolutely crammed with Airfix models and we've even had to use the area that we normally display upcoming items to show lots for the December sale."
