Monks & Crane van goes under the hammer at Special Auction Services
A promotional Dinky Toys Monks & Crane Bedford Van, measuring 3.25 inch long and in grey and blue, is on sale with an estimate of £5,000-£7,000 at Special Auction Services. The model which is one of the rarest ever made is expected to attract huge interest as there are only two known surviving examples of the model.
Dave Kemp, of Special Auction Services, said: 'This is one of the rarest Dinky toys ever made with only two known examples. The accompanying letter from Monks & Crane Ltd only strengthens its provenance and adds value to an already scarce model. I anticipate it generating huge interest amongst collectors.'
