Special Auction Services set for the unusual sale in January

On 25th January 2022 Special Auction Services will sell what is probably one of the largest collections of historic automobile models to appear at auction.

The collection was built up over many years by the late Dr Peter Grey, an avid motor sport enthusiast. His collection is unusual because it comprises either bought or specially commissioned models which represent the makes of cars he liked, rather than the companies who made them.

Prices range from £60-600 and include a A CMC 1/18 Ferrari 250 California (£200-300), 1/8 1959 Aston Martin DBR1 by Javan Smith driven by driven by Stirling Moss and Jack Fairman, in original display case (£400-600), a limited edition Top Marques 1/43 Bentley 4½ Litre Vanden Plas LWB 1929 (£80-120). Cars also include Alpha Romeo, Ferrari, Jaguar.
