Lilliput World

The brainchild of Barbara Stopher, Lilliput World is an internet-based business that started in late 2010. It specializes in vintage lead miniatures from a range of manufacturers including W. Britain, Johillco, Taylor & Barrett, Charbens, Sacul and Timpo.

On her choice of business, Barbara explains: “Jonathan Swift’s story of Gulliver’s Travels came to me as I remembered how Gulliver became imprisoned by a race of miniature people in a land called Lilliput. In a similar way I, and many other modern collectors, have become captive to a whole new world of miniature collectables.”

The site is very well organized with the main subject of the site, vintage lead, broken down into 15 sections including ‘circus’ and ‘Wild West’. Also available to buy are vintage dolls’ house items and miscellaneous vintage miniatures.

All items are accompanied by a brief description of the item, what condition it is in, how much it is and its product code. In many cases more than one photograph of the item is available to view.
