Your chance to win one of two free subscriptions to the Hornby Collectors Club worth £24 each – exclusive to CCofGB members only! ...

The Hornby Collectors Club is Hornby’s official interface with their model railway enthusiasts worldwide. Launched in 1996, the club is run by a dedicated team, retained by the company to manage the club, produce and distribute a regular magazine, Hornby Collector, and to fulfil membership enquiries/subscriptions.

During the period since 1996, the club has attracted many thousands of Hornby enthusiasts. The magazine is only available by subscription and does not feature as a commercial publication available through newsagents or shops.

The club magazine is a full-colour A4 publication which appeals to all ages and levels of modelling experience. Published six times year, it contains the latest news from the company, updates on new model releases, together with the history behind them. It also features articles from prominent contributors in the field, competitions, reader offers and other special promotions.

As well as receiving the magazine, subscribers benefit from two issues of an additional publication, Hornby Collector Plus, which features further in-depth, technical and lengthier articles, for the benefit of the more serious and experienced modellers in the club.

The annual club package represents good value for money at £24 (UK), particularly as it includes an exclusive Hornby loco each year, free to new and renewing subscribers as part of their annual entitlement. The 2009 club model comprises the OO gauge BR 0-4-0 Locomotive No 43209 in BR Black (pictured). In addition, Hornby produces exclusive promotional models available through the club at a special price for subscribers. The latest in this series, due out in the Autumn, is a limited edition example of the newly tooled 4-4-0 Class T9 Locomotive, in the livery of the LSWR T9 ‘Drummond’, which is already attracting much attention.

Further club benefits include a personalised club membership card entitling the owner to 10% discount off purchases via the Hornby website and through selected retail outlets. The club also negotiates discounted entry to some transport related events and museums. And there is the opportunity to meet the Hornby team at major events around the country, where the Hornby Roadshow can often be seen.
