After selling the unique collection of former Corgi design manager John Gilbert in June, Aston's Toy Auctions in Dudley has been at it again recently by auctioning off the collection of ex LEGO in-store manager Nigel Longley. Nigel worked at the famous brick maker in the 1970s and '80s and during that time acquired some unusual items.

Ahead of the auction on August 7th, we caught up with Nigel to find out his thoughts on the auction, as well as finding out a little bit about the history of working at LEGO during its rise to prominence. In particular three of the stand out items were a trio of shop display stands featuring new kits from LEGO - the Western example even included a voice sample from Nigel. Yee-haw!

Anyway, take a look at the video below to see how Nigel was feeling before the auction and get a closer look at this unusual sale.
