TSM Model Scale Miniatures Releasing Limited Edition McLaren P1

TSM Models has announced two 1/18 scale McLaren P1 'Mondial de l'Autmobile' models - one is the standard model with the wing down and the other is the car in its race mode, with the wing up. Both are limited to just 500 pieces and cost £182.99, with an expected release date of March 2013.

According to the model maker: "TSM Models is proud to cooperate with McLaren Automotive to produce a stunning replica of this ultimate supercar. Utilising the most advanced manufacturing techniques available today, in conjunction with 3D CAD data provided by McLaren, TSM aims to create an exquisite model worthy of the legacy the P1 is sure to create."

To give you a little background on the real-thing: McLaren Automotive used its first ever international motor show appearance at the Paris Motor Show to preview its next generation ultimate supercar – the McLaren P1 – which takes much of its technological and spiritual inspiration from the company’s Racing division.  The McLaren P1 has one simple goal: to be the best driver’s car in the world on road and track.
