Toolstation has teamed up with Corgi to help raise money for the RNLI. Visitors to the firm's 120+ trade counters around the UK will be able to pick up a model Land Rover or RNLI lifeboat, alongside the usual chainsaws, drills and power tools.

The Land Rover Defenders with their attached RNLI D Class lifeboats are being sold to raise funds for the RNLI’s Flood Rescue Team which was set up in 2000 and comprises 250 trained members strategically positioned to respond to a flood anywhere in the UK.

Toolstation already sponsors the RNLI Flood Rescue Team and says it came up with the idea to help raise additional funds and also lift awareness of the work undertaken by the charity. RNLI’s Flood Rescue Team assists in inland waterborne emergencies and in cases of natural disaster.

Toolstation’s Managing Director, Neil Carroll, said he was confident the unique model would be a big success: “Corgi has made a beautiful model with extraordinary attention to detail.  It makes a perfect collectable gift and all profit goes directly to the charity. I am sure it will sell very well indeed which will be of great benefit to the RNLI Flood Rescue Team.”

The models are on sale at all Toolstation counters priced £5.49p with all profits going to the charity. Visit the Toolstation website for more info.
