The London Bus Museum has some exciting news for model bus collectors. Back in April, the LBM released the first of its collaborations with Jotus which was the fabulous green London Transport Leyland CR16. The 1/76 scale model sold out very quickly. The reason for the rapid sale was due to many factors -  first being that it is a unique vehicle (the real one is on display at LBM) and one probably not to be modelled by the big diecast model bus makers, the second is the superb quality  - even the seat moquette is reproduced.

But many LT enthusiasts see the great little CR not in green but in red, so their dream is being fulfilled. At TransportFest, on the 19th October 2014, a red CR47 on route 213 to the LT garage at Sutton will be launched and on sale at around £70. The LBM realise that not every collector will be able to attend the event so the model can also be ordered from its shop at www.lbmshop.com, or contact [email protected].

The London Bus Museum is continuing the relationship with Jotus and some very unique models are planned. They will take some time to be produced as to get the quality things cannot be rushed, but will be worth the wait – did we hear vintage double decker?

For further information contact Richard Jones at the LBM email above.

And now for a gallery of the final pre-production version of the wonderful new CR47 model:
