The Vectis Auctions Model Train sale held at its Thornaby HQ on 14th June included a large collection of British Outline Locomotives and rolling stock, Superdetailed coaches, Bachmann, Hornby and Lima. There was also a selection of Hornby Dublo, Wrenn US and Continental Outline HO Gauge; plus a substantual collection of railway and ship-related books.

Interestingly the sale also included some remnants from the Hornby Archive sale, which featured numerous quality control samles and pre-production items. You can read more about those items in the August issue of Collectors Gazette, on sale July 19th. Here, we've decided to concentrate on a handful of the Hornby locomotives, wagons and sets sold during the sale to give you an idea of how much your collection could be worth, all descriptions are taken from the Vectis catalogue.
