After originally being announced at the International Toy Fair in Nuremberg last year, Hornby has finally released the first in its exciting new range of British N Gauge models, created by one of its European partners Arnold. The hugely anticipated SR-5-BEL Brighton Belle Pullman Five-Car Train Pack, based on the 1934 version is available to order from Hornby's website.

Arnold is renowned for its superb European and American N gauge models but this is the first time it has produced a replica in British N gauge (1/148). Detailed features include illuminated table lamps and driver’s cab illumination (direction dependent). This is the first in a line of new releases from the manufacturer and retails for £199.99.

Founded in 1906, Arnold started producing model trains in post-war Germany. A pioneer of new model railway gauges, alongside Tri-ang, Arnold worked on each new “small” scale over the years. From O scale, to HO/OO and into TT scale, Arnold was always striving to make model railways more accessible.

In the 1960s Arnold created its ‘Rapido’ range, the first N gauge model railway products to be produced. In the following decades Arnold would develop this range, offering more and more products in N gauge. Arnold became part of Rivarossi in 1995 which in turn joined Hornby Hobbies in 2004. Since joining Hornby, Arnold has been consistently producing fantastic European N gauge but is now expanding into British models.
