French Dinky 1435 Citroen Presidentielle sells for four figures at Vectis

A two-tone metallic grey French Dinky No 1435 Citroen Presidentielle fetched the highest price at Vectis' Specialist Diecast sale on Tuesday 27th March. It sold for £1,300 against a pre-sale estimate of £1,000-1,300.

The model, which had a flock brown interior, was complete with its driver figure, plated plastic bumpers and wheels, bonnet emblem and bumper pennant flag.

A limited edition of just 200, it is extremely rare and this example was in mint condition in a near mint blue lift-off lid card box with an instruction leaflet. The clear plastic bubble had discoloured with age, however.

The second highest price was £1,000, which bought a green Dinky No 935 Leyland Octopus Flat Truck with Chains. It had a pre-sale estimate of £400-600.
