We explore the full range of new releases from the first Corgi catalogue of 2017

In the February issue of Diecast Collector we have teamed up with our friends at Corgi, to bring you the first look at the new releases from their new 2017 catalogue.

There have already been some early teaser announcements – such as our exclusive on the Doolittle Raid Mitchell B25-B from the January 2017 issue and the prototype green Sunbeam Alpine convertible that was unveiled at the Classic Motor Show in Birmingham during November.

There are 28 new announcements – all the cars are 1/43 scale, most of the aircraft are 1/72 (one is in the larger, 1/48 scale), the buses are 1/76 and the James Bond Collection cars are 1/32 scale.
Elsewhere, we have a six page feature on all the models of the last true Rover built, the 75 and its faster stablemate the MG ZT. We look at the models of the Golden Era of the BTCC and turn back the clock to those halcyon days of truly close racing, great cars and big personalities. For commercial vehicle collectors, we take a nostalgic look back at some models of the delivery vans of yesterday – Bedford CF, Commer and Transit Mk1 to name but three.

Aviation fans won’t be disappointed – we take a look at the unusual Photo Reconnaissance Spitfire and Mosquito that Corgi produced a few years ago and tell the story of the original planes. Hotwheels fans will love the feature on the short-lived “Shiftkickers” spin off range.

This is all on top of our usual bumper regular features, including more model reviews than any other magazine, the best auction price guide and all the latest news and new releases.  Its no wonder we are the UK’s No1 selling magazine for Diecast Collectors.
