Britains Herald Swoppets collection makes hundreds

A superb collection of Britains Herald Swoppets - part of a large ex-shop stock - sold for hundreds during Aston's recent toy auction on March 23rd. The selection featured several complete trade packs of figures, most from the Wild West Series and a selection of American Civil War figures in trade packs. Many of the figures came complete with their original 'I'm a Swoppet!' paper tags - and even their original complaint slips!

According to Aston's: "Whilst the Swoppets were originally advertised as 'figures you can swivel and swop' which implies a durability not seen in figures of this age, 50 years on Swoppets have been known to suffer from plastic fatigue, making it very difficult to find a complete figure in a mint condition."
