One of the great aspects of model collecting is that you often stumble across manufacturers from other countries that you may never have heard of but are producing superb quality replicas. A great example of this is the italian company BBR Models which we've only recently discovered but were delighted to see that it has a wealth of fantastically detailed models.

One such example is the upcoming Ferrari 375 MM as driven in the 1954 Carrera Panamericana - the fifth and final running of the Mexican sports car racing event, which covered 1,910 miles from Chiapas to Chihuahua. 150 cars raced to complete the eight stages of the event but only 85 finished. Incredibly, considering that huge distance, the contest was won by Umberto Maglioli in a Ferrari 375 Plus who crossed the finish line after 17 hours, 40 minutes and 26 seconds. Throughout the race he averaged 107.927mph.

BBR has already modelled the winning car, so this time it's turned its attention to the other Ferrari that challenged Maglioli - the 375MM modified in the United States with a 4,500cc engine and driven by Phil Hill. Although Maglioli won the overall race, Hill did win the last leg. From the pictures released by BBR, it's clear this will be a crisp, white piece and the details look superb. It's due for release in July and has a suggested price of €240. You can see some image below:
