Auction Price Guide: Diecast Collectables

Valuing your collection is one of the most important aspects of collecting - not only to know how much prices are fluctuating but also making sure you have the necessary knowledge about current market values when picking up additions at toy fairs or auctions. As such, we're introducing regular auction prices guides at Collectors Club of Great Britain to give you the latest price info. Corgi Toys 60 Fordson Power Major Tractor. G/VG in G/VG box. Sold for £65, Aston's, 23rd March.

Corgi Toys 485 Surfing with the BMC Mini Countryman, with figure and one surf-board. G/VG with some chips (damage to roof rack), in G box with pen to one end. Sold for £65, Aston's, 23rd March.

Crescent Toy 1289 Gordini 2 1/2 Litre. VG with a couple of chips to paint on drivers head, in VG box. Sold for £80, Aston's, 23rd March.

Lesney Matchbox 2c Muir Hill Dumper, scarce version with only 72 models produced by Lesney as a promotional item for the Muir Hill company. The model which features a 'Muir Hill' logo in place of the usual 'Laing' decal, has red and green paintwork and BPW. E in E box. Sold for £90, Aston's, 23rd March.

Dinky Toys No. 905 Foden flat truck with chains, 2nd type cab, finished in green, within a blue and white striped box (some minor paint chips to wheel arches and edges, box lightly scuffed). Sold for £150, Toovey's, 19th March.

Dinky Supertoys No. 943 Leyland Octopus tanker 'Esso', within a blue and white striped box (some light playwear, tow hook chipped, axle ends lightly rusted). Sold for £160, Toovey's, 19th March.

Corgi Toys No. 204m Rover 90 saloon, finished in metallic green, boxed, with leaflet (minor paint chips to left side and base plate, box has corner scuffs). Sold for £120, Toovey's, 19th March.

Corgi No.302 MGA Sports Car - red body, cream seats, smooth cast hubs - overall Excellent Plus to Near Mint in Excellent blue card box, surface tear and small crush to one end flap. Sold for £80, Vectis, 21st March.

Corgi No.207 Standard Vanguard III Saloon - very pale green, red roof, spun hubs - Near Mint in Excellent blue and yellow card box. Sold for £130, Vectis, 21st March.

Dinky No.689 Medium Artillery Tractor - military green body, later issue with plastic hubs, plastic driver - slight tarnishing to tow hook otherwise Near Mint in Excellent Plus red and yellow lift off lid card box, small surface tear to one end. Sold for £130, Vectis, 21st March.

Dinky No.166 Sunbeam Rapier Saloon - light turquoise, mid blue side panels, ridged hubs, black tyres - slight tarnishing to axle ends otherwise Near Mint in Good Plus to Excellent correct colour spot card box. Sold for £60, Vectis, 21st March.

Corgi No.214M Ford Thunderbird - pink body, black roof, smooth cast hubs, with working mechanical motor, harder to find - some minor marks but overall Near Mint, in Good blue and yellow card box, pen graffiti to end flaps. Sold for £180, Vectis, 21st March.

Corgi No.464 Commer Police Van - metallic blue, horizontal slats to rear windows, "County Police" decals to sides, red interior, spun hubs - Excellent in Excellent card box with folded instruction leaflet and creased model club leaflet. Sold for £80, Vectis, 21st March.

French Dinky No.551 Ford Taunus "Polizeiwagon" - hard to find export model, dark green, white front and rear panels, grey interior, blue roof-light "Polizei" to doors and boot, concave steel hubs - Near Mint in Good Plus to Excellent card box with card packing piece. Sold for £420, Vectis, 21st March.

Tekno No.452 Volvo Open Wagon Truck - red cab, black chassis, dull dark blue wagon body, steel hubs, black tyres - minor paint loss to underside of chassis otherwise Near Mint, in Good Plus illustrated blue card box. Sold for £190, Vectis, 21st March.

Tekno No.854 Volvo Money Box Bus - green, yellow roof, silver parts - dent/distortion to front corner of bumper and minor marks to roof otherwise Excellent, in Good Plus to Excellent illustrated card box. Sold for £110, Vectis, 21st March.

Solido Dalia Seat 1500 Taxi "Madrid" - black body, red interior, green steering wheel, concave aluminium hubs - decal loss to sides mainly to passenger side otherwise Excellent, in Good card box with correct stamp to end flap, seam/join will need regluing. Sold for £300, Vectis, 21st March.
