Thousands of rare collectables to go under the hammer after museum closes its doors. ...
It's always sad to hear that a toy museum is being forced to close and recently we were told that the Arne Toy Museum in Dorset had called it a day. However, it's not all doom and gloom because the closure of the attraction is actually good news for collectors because Aston's in Dudley is planning to auction the entire contents of the museum!

We were lucky enough to be among the last people to see the displays of the Arne museum before they were packed up and shipped off to the Midlands and, we can assure you, collectors are in for a treat when the items come up for auction later this year.

During our visit we chatted with Chris Aston to get an inside look about the work that goes into such a big job, what items to look out for and how difficult it is to spot the super pieces while trying to pack everything up! So, make sure you watch the video below for an intriguing insight, plus pick up the October issue of Collectors Gazette to read more about the auction and see some of the collectables going on sale.
