Recently, we carried a call from BBC's new antiques show, The Great Antiques Map of Britain.

In a new series for BBC Two, Tim Wonnacott embarks on a nationwide journey to discover the people, the places, the antiquities and the collectables that tell the story of Great Britain.

For part of the programme the BBC want to get in touch with a collector of Meccano, Dinky Toys or Hornby Trains from the Liverpool area who would be willing to bring some pieces from their collection to be valued by Tim at his mobile ‘valuation station'.

Anyone interested in taking part should, in the first instance, get in touch with the programme's researcher, Heather Absalom. Heather can be contacted via telephone on 01179 747 878 or via email at [email protected].

After the original plea, Heather was contacted by one chap who she would very much like to speak to again, but unfortunately the phone number written down for him was incorrect. He said he was a design engineer who lived between Liverpool and Manchester and he had 162 play worn Dinky Toys.

If this is you, then please get in touch with Heather again.
