Scottish retailer Harburn Hamlet has decided to celebrate the achievements of Great Britain in the Olympics and Paralympics in a rather special way – by releasing golden versions of its round and oval 1/76 scale pillar boxes.

As you may know, these intriguing models are based on the pillar boxes Royal Mail painted gold in villages, town and cities across the country where Olympic gold medalists were born.
