Vintage dolls to be auctioned at the Vectis Doll and Teddy Bear Sale in September

Two of the most exquisite examples of an automaton and a vintage bisque doll will be auctioned in the Vectis  Doll and Teddy Bear Sale on 15th September at Thornaby, Stockton-on-Tees. 

From the Puppen & Spielzeug Museum Auction in 2007 comes a French bisque automaton ‘Little Girl with Mirror and Hankie’ by Roullt & Descamps, c.1890. In the same sale, a Tete Jumeau doll, known as ‘Clara Walla’ who comes with provenance from the vendor, a resident of Australia, will also be up for auction.
