Nearly 2,000 lots will go under the hammer at Old Town Auctions three-day sale held 19th-21st November at the Grand Venice Hotel, 431 Dual Highway, Hagerstown, Maryland, USA.

Day one will feature an extensive array of photographica, cameras and images - including items from the estate of Tom Clark - and historical artifacts and ephemera from US Navy photographer Richard Conger, a specialist in underwater photography who documented Rear Admiral Richard E Byrd’s exploration of Antarctica. A special highlight of the Friday session is the archive of historical ephemera and artifacts dealing with Antarctic exploration from the 18th century through modern day.

Day two features a selection of antique and collectable toys, in particular automotive models. A selection of approximately 50 highly detailed ship and boat models has been described as “museum quality, ranging from turn of the century designs to contemporary productions, and from countertop size to 8ft long.” Most are from a single-owner collection and include masted vessels, steamships, riverboats and other marine craft.

More than 650 lots of American and European trains and accessories will be offered, including live-steam and Marklin pieces.Day three is devoted to trains, with more than 650 lots of trains being auctioned. The lots will represent such brands as Lionel, Ives, Marx, American Flyer and more. There will be live-steam trains, many train accessories, train stations in standard, O and S gauge; and some German trains by Marklin and Bing.

The catalogue can be viewed online at the Old Town Auctions website. In addition to live bidding at the auction venue, Old Town Auctions accepts phone bids and both traditional and Internet-assisted absentee bids.
