An interesting assortment of new models in the larger scales this month.
First there is the 2006 Audi TT Roadster from Minichamps, well-finished and detailed as usual.
The Ferrari 330P4 in which Mario Andretti won at Daytona in 1967 is from GMP. The very high level of detail throughout is reflected in the price, but this is a great model for the Ferrari connoisseur.
The 1950 Porsche 356 Coupe, which has opening parts and comes with figures, is from the Signature Premier Miniature range.
Universal Hobbies produces a wide range of tractors, old and new, in a range of scales. The 1961 Deutz D15 Series and the Ford 5000 US Specification from the later 1960s are both in 1/16 scale, while the McCormick CX105 is one of a number of modern tractor models in the latest liveries produced in the 1/32 scale favoured by many agricultural model collectors.
A very different model from UH is the latest motor-cycle in 1/12 scale, the Honda RC30 on which Carl Fogarty won the 1990 Isle of Man TT. In a Limited Edition series from Guiloy in 1/10 scale is the colourful Yamaha YZR M1 ridden by Valentino Rossi at Muguello in 2008.
