In the December issue of Collectors Gazette we've got an exclusive interview with Hugo Marsh, toy and train expert at Special Auction Services. Hugo talks us through the history of the annual Trains Galore auction that, as the name would suggest, is a sale dedicated to all things model railway-related. The event has become one of the highlights of the calendar and is very well attended by those looking to buy and also those just wanting to attend a jovial social event.

In the video below Hugo also highlights some of the interesting items in this year's Trains Galore auction, including an unusual barn find and a model from the very dawn of Tri-ang Railways, when it was still known as Rovex. This particular loco, which you can see in the video, has been cited as the Holy Grail for Tri-ang collectors and is already causing a stir aross the collecting community.
