May 2011 will see the 50th edition of the Bayko Collectors Club’s newsletter published. In their words, “not bad for a band of enthusiasts who got together 12 years ago to share their interest in what was, and still is, arguably the world’s greatest building system”.

Today, the club musters over 100 devotees from around the globe, drawn literally from the USA to Australia. Those living in the UK benefit from regular meetings at Lane End in Buckinghamshire and the club, which caters for all sorts of building toys, has regular displays at events around the country each year.

If you were a child in the 1940s or indeed recall your formative years in the 1960s, then you’ll be familiar with Bayko. If you want to rekindle old memories, the next meeting will be held at Lane End.
