A unique collection of celebrity autographs is to be auctioned with the proceeds being donated to the North London Hospice charity on 24 November 2018 as part of Excalibur Auctions Memorabilia and Collectors Sale.

The private collection of autographs and signed photographs - mostly collected in person by the vendor's stepfather, Laurie Butcher - are to be auctioned following his last wishes and the proceeds of all of these items are being donated to charity.

The collection is eclectic and features signed personalised photographs from numerous classic stars of stage and screen. In addition to the autographs themselves, a considerable number of the images are original unpublished shots taken by Laurie himself, who then processed and printed his own photographs and returned to have them signed by the celebrity on later occasions, many are additionally annotated with time and place emphasising their true provenance.  The auction takes place at the Village Hotel Borehamwood Elstree on 24 November from 11am and worldwide bidding is also available online via The Saleroom and Invaluable.
