Revealed to amazed onlookers at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show (and then again at Geneva in early 2018), Honda's Urban EV Concept is built on a brand new platform. Described as having hints of the first generation Honda Civic, it is four inches shorter than the Honda Fit 'supermini'.  In addition to all of the futuristic styling cues,Yuki Terai's incredible exterior design features rear-hinged doors.

Designed by Fumihiro Yaguchi, the interior fits four adults, with the front passengers seated on a single bench seat. The dashboard is decorated in wood trim with a long digital screen as the instrument and information/entertainment panel. On the upper door panels are additional screens that display feeds from the side-view cameras.

The production version of the Urban EV Concept is scheduled for a European release in 2019 and then in Japan during 2020.Test mules of the real car have recently been spotted, although sadly the body lines have been toned down and it's now a five-door hatchback.

But let's not distract ourselves from what is a truly stunning replica of the superb original concept. Still relatively new to the market, DNA's quality and accuracy is already well-known and much appreciated.

Apart from the super cutesy but stylish lines, the first thing that strikes you is the gorgeous matt white paint finish - it's just something that you have to tocuh to fully appreciate! Then take a look at those wheels and their super intricate spoking - to replicate these with such finesse is a testament to DNA's automotive passion and dedication to the task.

As a resincast, of course the doors don't open but that doesn't mean that the interior detail has been skimped on - far from it. Thankfully the car's airy interior is easily visible thanks to a large expanse of glass on the real car.

The simple but very pleasing lights, front and rear, have been so well done that it almost looks like they could work and the finish throughout is equally impressive.

It's a limited run of just 320 pieces so don't delay or you might miss out on the future!
