In September 2020, Scuderia Ferrari took part in its 1000th Grand Prix. This milestone took place at the Mugello Circuit, a facility owned by the Maranello marque, which was also hosting a Formula 1 race for the very first time.

The Maranello marque planned several initiatives, starting with a celebratory livery worn by both cars for the whole race weekend. The SF1000s featured a burgundy colour, a faithful reproduction of the shade of red of the very first Prancing Horse, the 125 S, and of the 125 F1 that took to the track in the Monaco Grand Prix on 21 May 1950. For the past 71 years, Ferrari has been ever present in every year of the championship.

Drivers Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel also had special race suits for the occasion, matching the cars' colour. Even the look of the race numbers on both cars reflected the tradition of the past, giving the impression of being hand-painted onto the bodywork.

Sadly, the performance of the cars during the race didn't match up to the fabulous special livery, with Leclerc finishing 8th and Vettel 10th - 28.345 and 29.983 seconds respectively behind the race winner, Lewis Hamilton.

Bburago's brace of beauties proudly wear a dark red finish and the graphics are all there, including the special "1000 GP" logos and the 'hand-painted' race numbers. Detailing is very good and the models represent excellent value, with driver figures included. The graphics on both Leclerc's and Vettel's are simply stunning. The same can be said for the various sponsor logos that adorn the car - the edges are beautifully crisp.

The body is diecast and the front and rear wings, undertray and suspension components are moulded plastic. The finishing touch is the very realistic feel and look to the Pirelli tyres, with markings denoting tyre type correctly placed too. Suspension detail is good and the wing elements are well-represented.

Don't just buy one, why not splash out and get both? They look absolutely superb together, don't you think?
