Presented for the first time at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2007, Saab's super stylish 9-3 Saloon had been given a facelift for the 2008 model year and the Turbo X was unveiled at this event, with Saab claiming that over 2,000 modifications had been made for the new version.
The Turbo X was made to celebrate Saab's 30 years of turbocharging. All Turbo X were offered in metallic jet black with matt grey trim. The Turbo X also marked Saab's first production car with the XWD all-wheel drive system and is powered by a 2.8-litre V6 mated to a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox. It has larger brakes as well as stiffer springs and shock absorbers over the standard 9-3.
Limited to 320 examples, DNA Collectibles has produced another truly great masterpiece here. The finish of the black paintwork is absolutely marvellous and the detail throughout is astonishing, as always. The treatment of the front and rear ends in particular is excellent, with the light units all round looking so very realistic, something DNA mastered right from its very first model release.
