The Sián FKP 37 is the first super sports car powered by a V12 engine and hybrid technology based on supercapacitors. Its powerful V12 engine, coupled with electric boost, creates an unrivaled gem of engineering and technology.
Sián - lightning in Bolognese - is a name that captures the car’s true character, foremost its speed, which exceeds 220 mph (350 km/h). With a 0-62mph (100km/h) time measured at less than 2.8 seconds, this truly is a supercar.
The name was selected to highlight the fact that the car is the first production vehicle produced by the company to include a hybrid supercapacitator component. The suffix FKP 37 is related to the initials and birth year of the late Volkswagen Group chairman, Ferdinand Karl Piëch.
Packed with innovative features, such as Lamborghini's 'Smart Materials System', the Sián is a magnificent beast. Production began in 2020 and is limited to just 82 units - 63 of the coupe, as modelled here, and 19 roadsters. All have already been sold.
Bburago's model is dressed in a sumptuous, deep metallic red (see above right for the green version) and is packed with nearly the same features and detail as its larger 1/18 scale sibling. Both doors open in correct scissor-like fashion, as demonstrated in the image below. Once open, the interior can be more fully appreciated, and it's very nicely appointed for this purpose.
The alloy wheels are very neatly reproduced in a copper-like finish and really look the part, adding to the dramatic looks of the car. It's another superb replica, and an absolute bargain when you take the price into account.
