Testing times lead to a club AGM with a difference
Coventry Diecast Model Club turned to technology this week and held its first virtual meeting on 1st April with great results.
As this was the club’s AGM the evening was started by the chairman going through the usual proceedings for an AGM before handing over to various members to give a short(ish) talk on the evenings subject: James Bond.
As usual the members did not disappoint and as well as having a sneak into some mancave’s, CDMC members also had the opportunity to see a varied selection of Bond memorabilia and diecast.
The club then continued its evening in the usual manner by have a tea, coffee or something stronger before continuing on with more James Bond.
The agenda was not strictly stuck to as this was viewed as a ‘the friendly meeting’ and members were treated to a viewing of some Matchbox garages, that would not have normally been bought along to a physical meeting.
The May meeting of Coventry Diecast Model Club will be held virtually again as the uncertainty of the world situation continues. To join the club contact [email protected]
