International Toy Fair 2015: Hot Wheels Elite

Sadly there was no filming at Hot Wheels this year, as it was part of the Mattel stand, however we did come away with plenty of information about some of its releases for 2015… which promises to be a great year for TV and film fans.

But there's another disappointment if you're looking for the first shots of the Hot Wheels Elite's exciting Star Wars diecast models, which were announced towards the end of last year, because the pictures hadn't been approved.

Although we did get to take a first look at the Star Wars X-Wing, TIE Fighter and Millennium Falcon. Firstly they're not exactly to scale and all measure around the 15cm mark, so the Millennium Falcon is much smaller than it should be but they're packed with great details, like moving wings for the X-wing and rotating R2-D2. Pictures should follow shortly so keep checking back.

Elsewhere, other highlights include a new Herbie from Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo in 1/43 and 1/18 scales, the Batman Arkham Knight Batmobile from the hugely popular videogames will be making an appearance in 1/18 and 1/43 scales, while classic Batman fans will be served well by the Batcycle complete with figures - all of which you can see below.
