Corgi to auction off unique 1/36 scale Classic Mini

Here's a model that could be one of those sought after unique pieces in years to come... Corgi is planning to raise money for the Toy Trust, in conjunction with the Team Hornby 70-mile cycle ride, by auctioning off a unique 1/36 scale Classic Mini. The CC82289 Corgi 'Toy Trust' Isle of Wight Bike Ride 2013 Mini features a special 70 livery commemorating the distance Team Hornby will cycle around the Isle of Wight in one day.

Coincidentally the Mini is also the 99th Mini Mania release and has been officially coded. What's more, according to Corgi, "who knows, this may well be the last ever Corgi Mini Mania model produced". This one-off is due to go on auction for 10 days - just before the bike ride on 8th June. You never know in 50 years time collectors could be desperate to get their hands on this interesting piece!
