Dolls and Teddy Bear Auction takes place on 5th October

Featuring in the Vectis Auctions Doll and Teddy bear sale on the 5th of October are three lots consigned by staff nurse Betty Davis, a long-term supporter of Macmillan, at Guy’s and St Thomas' Hospital.

The proceeds (no commission will be taken by Vectis) from Lots 481, 482 and 483 will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support. The lots are a Mattel Barbie factory sample doll of Naomi Campbell and Elle Macpherson, dressed by Mario Omar. With a letter of provenance: Hi Betty; via Mattel, I hope these two Barbie dolls will help towards your worthy cause. They are dressed by Mario Omar, in two of our designs from the Autumn/Winter 1999-2000 Collection. All the very best of my good wishes and thoughts, giggles, Zoe Heyes. PS I hope Naomi and Elle enjoy the evening!!
The third item is a Joanna Lumley signed 10" x 8" autographed photograph, together with a letter of provenance from Lisa Hill (PA to Miss Lumley).

Betty Davis continues to work at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals despite passing retirement age and even after falling ill with covid last year. She is a prolific fundraiser for Macmillan, holding a coffee morning every year for the last 20 years; fundraising which has been recognised by 10 Downing Street, and the proceeds from these three lots will be added to this year’s coffee morning total.
