100 years ago, A.A. Milne published Winnie the Pooh. Little did he know then the impact this little bear would have on generations to come. To celebrate this The Royal Mint have released an exclusive series of 50p coins.
A new three-coin collection, dated 2026, has been released to mark the momentous occasion.
The coin collection celebrates the theme of kindness with the first coin depicting Winnie the Pooh offering up a bunch of flowers. Kindness is shown by Winnie the Pooh throughout all the stories and highlights how a little consideration makes all the difference.
The second coin features Christopher Robin and Winnie the Pooh walking hand in hand and the third coin shows Tigger, Eeyore, Pooh Bear and Piglet cuddling up together.
Currently only the first coin with Pooh Bear holding the flowers is available to purchase. With the second coin due for release April 2026 and the third coin in June 2026.
50p Brilliant Uncirculated
The individual coin of Winnie the Pooh holding his bunch of flowers is for sale on the website for £15.
Brilliant Uncirculated coins are struck to a superior standard than their circulating counterparts.
The Royal Mint are also doing a deal where if you sign up for the three-coin collection, you receive a free collector folder to house each coin.

The reverse of this coin features colour printing that brings the beloved bear to life, with the packaging featuring a pop-up element for immersive storytelling.
This singular coin is available exclusively at the Royal Mint and is £25, this coin also offers the opportunity to sign up for the three-coin collection and receive a free collector folder to house each coin.
50p Gold Proof Coin
This is a limited-edition coin that is struck in 22 carat gold to Proof standard. They have a maximum coin mintage of 135 and will set you back £2,420.
50p Silver Proof Colour Coin
This edition is struck in sterling silver to Proof standard and features colour printing. Presented in an acrylic box, perfect for displaying around your house.
