We have been inundated with enquiries about the next edition of Ramsay’s British Diecast Catalogue so we thought it would be useful here to let you know exactly what's inside this fully updated 14th edition which is on sale now.
Well-known and respected collector, Mike Ennis, took over the reigns as editor of this edition over three years ago and has worked tirelessly to achieve what we feel is one of the best editions to date. The comprehensive coverage of the main manufacturers such as Dinky Toys, Corgi and Matchbox are now equalled by excellent listings of some of the minor manufacturers such as Chad Valley, Tri-ang, Crescent and many more besides.
Mike has also re-introduced the all-important indexes for the Corgi Toys and English and French Dinky sections. Many of you were disappointed they were not in the 13th edition so hopefully this is a welcome return and one that will make your life easier when searching for details of a particular model.

There are over 20 different sections listing all the models currently known and verified from independent sources as genuine from each diecast manufacturer. It is important to note here that the guide only covers British models produced during the period 1933 to 1983, hence any models released in the last 30 years are NOT included. So, listings from Benbros/Zebra, Britains, Chad Valley, Charbens, Corgi, Crescent, English Dinky, French Dinky, John Hill & Co, Lone Star/DCMT, Matchbox, Models of Yesteryear, Mobil Midget Fun Ho!, Morestone, Shackleton, Taylor & Barrett, Timpo Toys, Tri-ang Minic and Spot-On plus minor manufacturers such as Automec, Brimtoy, Cherilea, Luntoy, Skybirds and Wardie to name but a few are all included in this edition.

In each section we list models by reference number, give a brief description of identifying features, colours/liveries, renumbering information, casting variations, wheel and cab types, plus offer a Market Price Range grading system. The gap between the lower and higher figures indicates the likely price a collector should expect to pay for the model in mint, boxed condition. Of course, market fluctuations will affect these published prices but this guide offers a good starting price point. After all, we want to know what our models are worth or if we are getting a bargain at auction!

I have included some pages below to illustrate how well the guide is laid out – in a user-friendly way which enables experienced collectors as well as those new to the hobby to find the model they are searching for.
