First seen at the Ultimate Book of Spot-On launch at Sandown Park in November 2013, where it attracted a huge amount of attention, Brian Salter’s creation was recently spotted on Abbey Road just as The Beatles were using the pedestrian crossing in a re-enactment of the famous album cover. Presumably the Fab Four had arrived in four standard Spot-On Vauxhall Crestas and parked nearby.

The product of Brian’s incredible imagination, the Yellow Submarine was once a standard Spot-On Routemaster but a recent makeover resulted in the creation we see here.

Don’t miss Tommy Spot sitting up front, the potted plant on the table downstairs, the porthole type door (originally a Bayko item and the perfect scale) and the pretty patterned curtains, rescued from a Spot-On “Dollies Home”. Decals are from Steve Flowers, originally intended for use on the Corgi Yellow Submarine of course.

The incredible Ultimate Book of Spot-On is a huge 29.5cm x 27cm and 492 pages long, available from “In-House Publishing”. Contact Brian Salter on 01342 410502.
