TV and film collectors really can't afford to miss the February sale at Vectis Auctions, which is already shaping up to be a great start to 2014. With concessions still being taken for the sale, some of the collectables lined up so far are expected to cause a real stir - such as a very early poster for the original Star Wars film.

However, the bulk of the three day sale will be taken up by the huge Shane Watson's Little Joes GI Joe 3 3/4 figure collection. Speaking to valuer Kathy Taylor, she has estimated there could be a MILLION figures both loose and boxed, along with a massive selection of vehicles. For action figure fans, this is going to be a once in a lifetime auction!

Items range from 1982 to the present day and include a number of convention specials, along with mint on card vintage examples plus loose vehicles and figures from Hasbro, Estrela, Takura, Plastirama, Funskool and Palitoy Action Force.

Other highlights include boxed and unboxed 12" superhero figures, such as Batman, Doctor Who, The Six Million Dollar Man, plus pieces from McFarlane Spawn, Predator, Alien, Halloween and games from Nintendo. The latter is certainly something to watch, as videogames are becoming increasingly collectable - particularly those ones still mint in box.

We're hoping to head to Vectis in 2014 to get an exclusive look at the auction before it goes on sale - so keep checking Collectors Club of Great Britain to read the latest. Remember, to get the latest collecting news delivered direct to your inbox every two weeks, sign up for our e-newsletter.
