Trains Galore Auction Video

Collectors Gazette managing editor Denise Burrows headed to the Trains Galore sale at Special Auction Services on 6th December, armed with our trusty office video camera. Although the auction has become well known among the model railways community, it's likely that many of you have never seen inside the saleroom at Newbury, instead preferring to bid on the Internet or over the phone.

Well, we wanted to change that by giving you an exclusive glimpse of Trains Galore, as well as showing you some of our favourite lots that were sold on the day. However, we had to be quick to grab footage of the items sold because as soon as the hammer fell, collectors were rushing over to pick up their winnings and then dash out the room - probably to test on their model railway layout back home!
