On the 12 September a container holding over £150,000 worth of diecast models, due to be delivered to Tiger Hobbies, was broken into en-route to South Yorkshire. Over 840 items were stolen in total, each worth more than £200.

The load was made up of 763 Hobby Master models and 84 Star Ace 1/16 Harry Potter figures.

Gary Ford, managing director of Tiger Models, is interested in hearing any news you may have concerning the models: HA3323, a Northrop F-5E Tiger II Patrouille Suisse; HA2418, a MIG-15bis No.25, Chinese People's Volunteers Air Force, North Korea. Mr Ford can be reached on 01709 890940. South Yorkshire Police are investigating the incident (crime number B94911 2016) and can also be contacted with any relevant details.

Several days later John Ayrey Diecast, in West Yorkshire, was also raided. A number of high value and limited edition models were taken, including: 100 New Routemaster 9 Hammersmith Corgi60; 12 Jaguar XJR XJ40 1990, in metallic red; 24 Ford Escort RS2000 Mk1, 1974; 12 Ford Escort RS 1600 MKI #19 MC72 Makinen.
