Big money (£840) was needed to secure the kit/scratchbuilt O gauge 4-6-2 loco and tender in BR green rebuilt as a West Country Class Okehampton. A 2-rail Finescale electric example, it was in good plus to excellent condition.

There was equally a lot of interest in the Hornby O gauge early London North Western Railway Goods Set. This contained a 4-4-0 loco and tender in LNWR black. "Meccano Ltd Liverpool" oval transfers were applied to the splasher sides, and the 6-wheel tender was fitted with LMLL oval transfers. Two LNWR open wagons completed the set, which included five sleeper early clockwork 2-rail track, track clips and key. Contents were noted as good to excellent, and all was contained in a fair to good leatherette style box with an LNWR label to one end. Included with this set was a Hornby Railway Company undated letter together with a Hornby Railway Company membership form dated 13/01/1931. Tipped at £260-360, this delightful set steamed away to make £504.

More from Hornby Railways in the shape of Hornby/Lima Hopper Wagons: this lot comprised 18 Merry-go-Round types, 14 Yeoman versions, two Tilcon examples and four of ARC Roadstone. All were in good to good plus condition, and the lot realised £288.

On the smaller side, the Bachmann OO Gauge a group of diesel locomotives, consisting of a Class 66 Freightline, a blue Malcolm Logistics Services, a Class 57 Direct Rail Services and another Direct Rail Services, were all excellent and contained in excellent boxes. Estimated at £80-120, the quartet was finally bid to £360.
