Spark to release the 4 Millionth Mini

Spark has announced its next batch of 1/43 scale models due for release in the next couple of months. As always, a comprehensive range of vehicles from various manufacturers will be represented.

A new release that caught our eye was the 4,000,000th Mini (Ref No S2655), pictured right, which will be available at the end of April, RRP £52.99.

The 500,000th Mini rolled off the production line at Longbridge in 1962 while the 1,000,000th was personally driven off the line by Alec Issigonis in 1965. The 2,000,000th appeared in 1969, the 3,000,000th in 1972 and the 4,000,000th in 1976.

The last millionth celebration at Longbridge was in 1986, when the 5,000,000th was produced.
