Everything comes to those who wait, as we are led to believe. But this is definitely the case with Corgi’s reworked Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

The famous flying car from the 1968 film of the same name comes complete with all four main characters, as per Corgi’s original model, and now it has been confirmed that all four wings are included after we’d raised some concerns about the renders appearing to show just the two side wings, which work exactly as on the original model.

Having had a chance to play with the example on display at Corgi HQ in Margate, we’d say that the mechanism is even smoother than the original. We can’t wait to review it!

There’s yet another release of Corgi’s latest incarnation of the James Bond Aston Martin DB5 from Goldfinger. Whilst this is identical to the two previous releases, what will set this apart and get collectors reaching for their wallets is that the packaging will be a close replication of the original No 261 box. This is sure to be a popular one so get your pre-orders in now!

Finally, the Corgi Club for collectors is making a comeback this year, having been closed down shortly after the company moved out of its Margate home.
