Michael Driver, chairman of the Dinky Toys Collectors Association, reports from the Maidenhead Static Model Club AGM 2014:

Another year has passed and The Maidenhead Static Model Club, now in its 45th year, held its AGM in March. The Committee gave their reports on what had been a successful year for the club and its Toy Fairs.

The current Committee agreed to stand for another year, with the exception of Janet Collins who was Social Secretary and Newsletter Editor. The new Social Secretary is to be Gary Maslin and Adrian Levano becomes the Newsletter Editor.  Also elected this year was Bob Westerbeke to help on the committee. The Chairman John Ward welcomed them, and thanked the MSMC members for their continued support for the club.

Although the attendance was down slightly on previous years, members put forward a number of ideas and comment about the future of the club and its activities. The evening finished off with the usual raffle for the club’s charity fund.

You too could join the club, so why not come along on the third Monday of the month and meet other enthusiastic collectors. For further details visit the website at www.windsortoyfair.co.uk.

The next Windsor International Toy & Train Collectors Fair will be held on Saturday 7 June 2014. Once again there will be a good selection of collectable toys and trains to temp the collector. The Club hopes to see you on the day. For further details please ring 07825 564960.

Publicity Officer, MSMC.
