New truck models available now from Search Impex Images
Customised promotional model vehicle specialists Search Impex is pleased to announce the release of three new models, produced exclusively for the company by WSI Collectibles, all available as a certificated Limited Edition (155 pieces).

The main photo (and photo below) are of a 1/50 scale DAF XF105 Super Space (6x2) tractor unit with 3 axle tanker trailer, customised in the award winning livery of Scottish whisky haulier, James CC Ferguson. This model has been commissioned to mark James CC Ferguson’s winning of the Transport News ‘Scotland’s Top Fleet Livery 2013’ award.
Based in Milton of Campsie, near Glasgow, this family run haulier specialises in transporting Scotch whisky for many of Scotland’s best-known distilleries. The Company’s highly distinctive trucks and tanker trailers carry a truly Scottish theme including a Piper in full traditional attire, Ferguson Clan tartan and idyllic country scenes with highland cattle.
The striking livery has proved to be a real attraction for truck enthusiasts and tourists alike – many of whom immediately reach for their cameras to take photos of the trucks to show the folks back home! Indeed, on one occasion, a tourist asked the driver if he could hang on while he fetched his camera – only to endure a wait of almost twenty minutes because, unbeknown to the driver, the would-be photographer’s camera was back at the hotel where he was staying! Next up is a 1/50 scale DAF XF Space cab (4x2) tractor unit with
2 axle, stepframe trailer, customised in the eye-catching “Vintage Tractors” show livery of well known Aberdeenshire based haulier V G Mathers Ltd.
With a passion for and detailed knowledge about vintage agricultural machinery, particularly tractors, company owner Vic Mathers spends much of his spare time seeking out and restoring vintage tractors – David Brown 50D series being a speciality. As a keen exhibitor at agricultural shows, the DAF and stepframe trailer are used to transport his restored vintage tractors to various events and fayres throughout the country. Proudly emblazoned in the original Vic Mathers’ colour scheme, the DAF unit makes for a stunning sight when coupled together with the show trailer. On one side of the trailer are pictures of some of Vic’s restored tractors and on the other side is a reproduction of an oil painting by rural heritage artist Robin Wheeldon – well known for his pictures of rural scenes from bygone eras.
Based in Kintore on the outskirts of Aberdeen, V G Mathers has been operating for approaching 50 years and remains a family business. Although a relatively small haulier, it continues to be well known by model collectors and truck enthusiasts alike – and this show truck & trailer will certainly make an attractive addition to any model collection. Finally, for now, is a 1/50 scale Volvo FH3 Globetrotter XL (4x2) tractor unit with 2 axle, stepframe and box van trailer, customised in the livery of Northern Ireland based operator, W S Dennison.
Known for distribution of furniture throughout Ireland, W.S. Dennison was established in 1979 with a workforce of only two - William Dennison and Liam Taggart, who continue to be the backbone of this family run business. From this small but enthusiastic beginning, the Company has expanded its workforce in furniture to become the largest in Ireland in its specialist field and the business now has two operating centres - in Antrim and Limerick.
Furniture is the only product handled and W S Dennison offers a professional logistics service embracing collection from manufacturers throughout the UK, interim storage (if necessary) in 50,000 sq ft of purpose built warehousing and onward delivery directly to households throughout Ireland. Commercial vehicles in the fleet range from Volvo & DAF tractor units and trailers through to Iveco Cargo 7.5 tonne trucks and panel vans for delivery drops with difficult access. All vehicle specifications include furniture blankets and ties to ensure safe transit of furniture and satellite navigation trackers to enable efficient use of the fleet.
