LaFerrari and Ferrari F138 Formula One cars due for release in October ...
Japanese resin model maker Fujimi is planning several new resin Ferrari models later this year, including the LaFerrari and Ferrari F138 Formula One car in a range of different liveries. We'll start with the LaFerrari which will be avaiable in two colours: Rosso Corsa (racing red) and Giallo Modena (yellow) - ref FJM1343025 and FJM1343026, respectively. Both 1/43 scale models are expected for release this October and retail for £84.99.

Up next there are four replicas of the Ferrari F138 Formula One car, as driven by Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa. The versions modelled include: Chinese GP, F. Alonso, first place (ref: FJM1343027); Australian GP, F. Alonso, second place (ref: FJM1343028); Chinese GP, F. Massa, sixth place (ref: FJM1343029) and Australian GP, F. Massa, fourth place (ref: FJM1343030). Again, they all retail for £84.99 and are due to hit the shops in October.

Internally nicknamed the “Hopeful One” the chassis was named the "F138" to represent the year that it would be raced, 2013, and to mark the final season that Formula One would use V8 engines. This is the 59th car built by Ferrari to compete in Formula One.

After retiring early in Malaysia three weeks prior, Alonso drove a flawless race to win the Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai. It was Alonso's 31st victory of his career, drawing him level with Nigel Mansell on the sport's all-time win list, leaving only Michael Schumacher, Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna ahead of him.
